Robotica 2010

After the important success of the 2009 edition, with the participation of the most prestigious institutions ? among which research centres and university laboratories (Siri, University of Rome, Milan Polytechnic, Catania University) ? and important companies, also with the support of a top-class Scientific Committee, Robotica, the first Italian show entirely dedicated to humanoid and service robots, will be back at Fiera Milano Rho from 17 to 19 November 2010.
Robotica 2010 will, once again, be dedicated to an innovative series of products at the service of mankind and the quality of life, so-called "non-manufacturing" or service robots, automated machines for diverse uses, from assistance for old people to medical and surgical applications, from home automation to situations of danger, from environmental sectors, for maintenance and inspection to personal robots for free time, entertainment and education.
At the 2010 edition, Robotica will, once more, have the presence of universities and research centres, avant-garde laboratories and highly innovative companies, and will include an exhibition area and conferences, workshops and B2B meetings, which will promote activities of technological transfer and support to competitiveness, placing the world of research and academic-university spin-offs face-to-face with venture capital and investments in risk capital carried out during the start-up phases of companies (early stage financing).
These are, in synthesis, the highlights of Robotica 2010.

* Technical-scientific-based CONFERENCE organized by SIRI (Italian Robotic and Automation Association).
* ROBOTIC CHALLENGE Innovative format by means of which laboratories and research centres, spin-offs and companies looking for investments to launch products related to the various fields of application of robotics, will present themselves to investors and venture capitalists interested in financing start ups and early stage financing.
* WORKSHOP AREA. Presentation of projects and new technologies by research institutes, companies and spin-offs.
* ROUND TABLE "Robotics meets the industrial world", with the participation of the most important associations of the high-tech sector.
* FOCUS ON COMPANIES. ?How a robot is created: companies introduce themselves?. Components, materials, systems and innovative technologies for the production of robots.
* EXHIBITION AREA. During HTE-hi.tech.expo, the third edition of the fair dedicated to innovative technologies, there will also be a dedicated area where universities and research centres, spin-offs, avant-garde laboratories and high-tech companies will present to the public their products and innovations in the various fields of research and applications for the market of humanoid and service robots.
* DEMO AREA. Universities and research centres, spin-offs, avant-garde laboratories and high-tech companies, will demonstrate the functionality of their products/prototypes, involving both visitors and professionals.
* ONE-TO-ONE MEETINGS. Targeted appointments dedicated to the development of business relationships
