Como Lake
Lake Como is a bifid fjord deeply dug in the mountainous slopes of the Como pre-Alps. It is the fifth deepest lake in Europe and the first in Italy, as well as the one with the largest perimeter. It is one of the most suggestive Italian landscapes, praised in the 19th century by the greatest poets of Romanticism: Alessandro Manzoni, Stendhal, George Gordon Byron and Franz Liszt. Today it is one of the most interesting places to visit, thanks to the presence of the vast walkable lakefront and the historic center located near its Cathedral.
